Chara Whiting, LMFT-Associate

I really enjoy working with clients to figure out how their family system can maintain problems in family members, as well as contribute to healthy growth and change, all by understanding family roles, learning better communication skills, and improving how we attach and connect with each other. The best thing is then helping individuals, couples and families from all walks of life make those changes that they desire. I’m from Sugar Land, Texas. I studied at both Brigham Young University and Purdue University to complete a bachelor’s in Psychology and master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have done research on long-term marriage, families, father involvement, and the power of resilience. I have been trained in EMDR (trauma treatment), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well as many systems theories. I am currently working with both the Sugar Land and The Woodlands Centers for Couples and Families. In the state of Texas I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. (LMFT-A 202385)
